An incredible re-imagining of the old roller skating rink.

The plot of land where The Derby is being built holds a significant history rooted in roller derby culture. As the original skating and training location for the Madison Roller Derby Team (MRD), Fast Forward Skate Center was home to many of MRD's most famous team members. Fun fact: MRD was the fifth flat track league to form in the world! They eventually outgrew their home at Fast Forward, but you can now catch them bouting at the Alliant Energy Center. We are excited to honor the history of this incredible team here at The Derby.
